Israeli occupation forces detain three Palestinians in Masafer Yatta after colonist assault

HEBRON, December 25, 2025 (WAFA) — Israeli occupation forces on Thursday detained three Palestinian residents from Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, following assaults carried out by colonists, according to local sources.

Activist Osama Makhameh said that a group of armed colonists, dressed in a uniform resembling that of the Israeli army, detained several residents in in Masafer Yatta and subjected them to abuse. The colonists later handed over two of the detainees, brothers Ibrahim and Abed Mahmoud Al-Adra, to Israeli forces, who then detained them.

In a separate incident in the Wadi Al-Jawaya hamlet, also in Masafer Yatta, Israeli forces raided homes and tents belonging to local residents, searched them, and vandalized their contents before detaining one Palestinian resident.

The incidents come amid ongoing escalation by Israeli forces and colonists in Masafer Yatta, including repeated raids, detentions, and attacks on Palestinian residents and their property.
