HEBRON, December 25, 2025 (WAFA) — Israeli occupation forces on Thursday began constructing a new colonial road on privately owned Palestinian land in the town of Al-Dhahiriya, south of Hebron, according to local sources.
Witnesses told WAFA that Israeli forces stormed the Al-Deir area on the outskirts of Al-Dhahiriya, sealed it off, and seized a house belonging to Palestinian citizen Naseem Abu Sharkh, turning it into a military post.
Residents were barred from accessing the area as bulldozers began carving a colonial road through their lands, only a few meters away from nearby homes. The area recently witnessed repeated incursions by groups of colonists.
The sources added that the project aims to facilitate colonist incursions into the area and to provide infrastructure that would enable the seizure of Palestinian land for colonial expansion purposes.
