Israeli colonists, backed by Israeli forces, carry out attacks in southern West Bank, livestock killed and resident detained by forces

BETHLEHEM, December 23, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists, backed by occupation forces, carried out attacks on Tuesday in several areas of the southern occupied West Bank, including an assault on a family home in Masafer Yatta that led to the detention of a resident, as well as the killing of livestock in the village of Kisan east of Bethlehem.

Israeli colonists were responsible for the killing of five sheep belonging to a Palestinian resident in the village of Kisan, east of Bethlehem, a local source told WAFA correspondent.

The source said that colonists sprayed toxic pesticides on residents’ lands in the northern area of the village, leading to the killing of the sheep after they grazed on contaminated grass and vegetation. The incident was inspected and confirmed.

Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces detained a Palestinian resident after Israeli colonists attacked his family’s home in Masafer Yatta.

Local sources reported that colonists assaulted a residence in Masafer Yatta and attacked residents and foreign activists who were present in the area. Israeli occupation forces later arrived to protect the colonists and detained a resident.

Colonists also obstructed farmers and landowners from accessing and plowing their lands in the Wadi Ejheish area, in an apparent attempt to seize control of the land.
