In a wide-scale Israeli army detention campaign, more than 43 Palestinians were detained

RAMALLAH, December 22, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli forces carried out a wide-scale detention campaign in the occupied territories and detained more than 43 Palestinians.

In Bethlehem, nine Palestinians were detained in the town of Tuqu', southeast of the city after Israeli forces carried out widespread raids, including searches and vandalism of homes.

Israeli soldiers also stormed the village of al-Ma'sara, south of Bethlehem, raided the home of a local resident, ransacked its contents, and assaulted him.

In Hebron, Israeli forces also rounded up 22 Palestinians from the town of Dura, the village of al-Tabaqa, and al-Fawwar refugee camp in the southern West Bank The operations involved home searches, property damage, and  physical assaults,.

Also in Hebron, Israeli troops erected several flying military checkpoints at the entrances to Hebron city, its towns, villages, and refugee camps, closing dozens of main and secondary roads with iron gates, concrete blocks, and earth mounds.

In Tulkarm, seven Palestinians were detained from the Sha'rawiya area, located to the north of the city.

In Qalqilya, Israeli soldiers conducted a military raid on the village of Siniriya, located to the south of the city, where they detained five young men. The raid included home raids and searches.

In a related incident, a young man from Qalqilya was also detained while passing through a military checkpoint at the eastern entrance to the city.
