HEBRON, December 20, 2025 (WAFA) — Dozens of Israeli colonists stormed the Tel Ma'in archaeological site in the Yatta desert, south of Hebron, on Saturday, seizing a vehicle and conducting provocative tours in its vicinity, according to local activists.
Osama Makhamreh, a local media activist, reported that the colonists, protected by Israeli forces, erected a menorah and performed Talmudic rituals at the historic hill. Israeli troops stationed themselves on the rooftops of nearby homes to secure the incursions.
These incursions are part of an ongoing campaign of settler violence and land appropriation in the southern West Bank, carried out under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.
