SALFIT, December 20, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli forces stormed the town of al-Zawiya, west of Salfit, at dawn on Saturday, deploying several military vehicles and carrying out raids on homes and properties.

During the raids, several young men were assaulted and others were detained.

Local sources told WAFA that Israeli troops raided several homes in the town center and severely beat a number of young men, leaving some of them injured.

The causalities were later transferred to a nearby medical center for treatment.

The sources added that Israeli forces raided the home of al-Zawiya Mayor Amir Shuqair and arrested his son, Muhammad. They also raided the home of Munir Aziz and arrested his son, Mu'taz.

The raids also targeted several workshops and warehouses, where Israeli soldiers vandalized the contents of homes and private property.

The town of Al-Zawiya has been subjected to a continuous attack by Israeli forces for nearly a month, including almost daily incursions, raids on dozens of homes, in addition to closing the town’s entrance, and setting up military checkpoints.
