Israeli forces issue demolition order for 25 buildings in Tulkarm's Nur Shams camp

TULKARM, December 14, 2025 (WAFA) – The Israeli occupation forces on Sunday issued a military order to demolish 25 additional buildings in Nur Shams refugee camp, east of Tulkarm.

Tulkarm Governor Abdullah Kmail urged the international community, human rights institutions, diplomatic missions and embassies to intervene immediately and urgently to halt the decision, stressing that it reflects a continuation of Israeli arrogance and occupation crimes against the Palestinian people in the Tulkarm and Nur Shams refugee camps.

He said the decision is part of a systematic campaign of destruction and vandalism targeting civilians and their property, which has led to the forced displacement of residents from the two camps.

Kamil said these measures constitute a flagrant breach of international law, international norms and conventions, as well as international human rights law and international humanitarian law.

He renewed his call for immediate action to bring this aggression against the Tulkarm governorate, its two refugee camps, villages and towns, to an end.
