SALFIT, December 14, 2025 (WAFA) — Israeli occupation forces detained nine Palestinians during a pre-dawn raid on the town of al-Zawiya, in the central West Bank province of Salfit, on Sunday, including several brothers.

Local sources told WAFA that Israeli forces stormed the town, raided and searched a number of homes, and detained Yazan and Nour Amin Abu Leila, Mohammad and Rami Adnan Baker, Yahya Amjad Shawqi, Abdel Fattah Raed Qadous, Faiq Asfour, Nasser Naseem Farah, and Mohammad Alaa Nofal.

The raid caused damage to property inside several homes and created fear among residents, particularly women and children, according to local accounts.

The detentions come amid an ongoing campaign of pressure against residents of al-Zawiya over recent weeks, which has included repeated night raids, frequent detentions, and restrictions on movement through the installation of military checkpoints, further disrupting daily life in the town.
