JORDAN VALLEY, December 8, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces obstructed the passage of teachers to schools in the Jordan Valley today, Monday, at the Hamra and Tayasir military checkpoints.

Azmi Balawneh, Director of Education in the Tubas and Northern Jordan Valley Governorate, reported that more than one hundred teachers were unable to cross the Hamra and Tayasir checkpoints today.

They remained at the checkpoints from 6:30 AM for several hours without being allowed to proceed.

The educational process in the Jordan Valley is constantly disrupted due to the frequent closure of these checkpoints and the prevention of teaching staff from reaching their schools.
