RAMALLAH, December 7, 2025 (WAFA) – The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) on Sunday facilitated the transfer of five Palestinian detainees released via the Karm Abu Salem crossing to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, in the Gaza Strip, and assisted in restoring contact and reunifying them with their families.
The ICRC reiterated that its access to Palestinian detainees in Israeli detention centers remains suspended, underscoring the need to be informed of the names of all Palestinian detainees and granted immediate access to them.
The ICRC said it is continuing its dialogue with the Israeli occupation authorities to restore visits to all Palestinian detainees, stressing that international humanitarian law requires humane treatment, acceptable detention conditions, and the ability for detainees to maintain contact with their families.
