Palestinian child killed by Israeli forces' fire in the Mawasi area of Rafah in southern Gaza

 

GAZA, December 7, 2025 (WAFA) – A Palestinian child was killed today by Israeli forces’ gunfire outside their deployment areas in the al-Mawasi area of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip, medical sources in Gaza announced on Sunday.

According to the latest health reports, the death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 70,360, mostly children and women, since the start of the Israeli aggression on October 7, 2023. The number of injuries has also climbed to 171,047.

This toll remains incomplete, as many victims remain trapped under rubble, inaccessible to ambulance and rescue crews.

Medical sources said that six new fatalities and 17 injured people were brought to hospitals in Gaza during the past 24 hours.

Since the ceasefire went into effect on October 11, the number of those killed and injured has reached 373 and 970, respectively. At least 624 bodies have also been recovered from under rubble.
