RAMALLAH, December 7, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Sunday erected mobile homes east of the Ramallah and al-Bireh district, in what could mark the beginning of a new colonial outpost in the area.
Local sources said colonists installed several mobile homes between the towns of Burqa and Deir Dibwan to expand the Ramat Migron colony built on Palestinian-owned land.
Colonial settlement construction across the West Bank has accelerated in recent years, often beginning with the placement of mobile homes that later expand into permanent structures.
Many outposts start without official approval but are later retroactively legalized by Israeli authorities, contributing to the ongoing expansion of colonies and increased pressure on surrounding Palestinian communities.
According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Israeli occupation forces carried out 1,523 violations so far this year, while colonists committed 621 attacks. The highest number of incidents occurred in the Ramallah and al-Bireh governorate with 360 attacks, followed by Hebron with 348, Bethlehem with 342, and Nablus with 334.
