BETHLEHEM, December 5, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces issued notifications on Friday demanding the removal of hundreds of olive trees in the town of Tuqu', southeast of Bethlehem, according to local sources.
Taysir Abu Mufarreh, the head of Tuqu' municipality, told WAFA that the Israeli forces had placed orders on the trees and on the facades of homes, demanding the removal of olive trees located along the main road in the village, covering an area of about one kilometer. The trees belong to various families from the village, with no valid justification for the removal.
Abu Mufarreh emphasized that the trees are aged over 35 years, and that this action could affect additional trees, pointing to the larger goal of attempting to seize land for colonial purposes.
