GAZA, December 5, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces sharply escalated their attacks on the eastern areas of the Gaza Strip overnight and at dawn Friday, launching heavy fire east of Khan Younis, alongside artillery shelling and live fire northeast of the city.
The escalation comes as a continued breach of the ceasefire agreement that entered into effect on 10 October.
According to our correspondent, Israeli forces intensified shelling and demolitions across the eastern parts of the Strip, directly targeting homes and vital infrastructure.
Warplanes also carried out an airstrike on the Al-Tuffah neighborhood in eastern Gaza, another on Rafah, and a third east of Al-Maghazi refugee camp in the central Strip. No casualties were reported. At the same time, Israeli naval vessels opened fire off the coast of Khan Younis.
