QALQILYA, December 4, 2025 (WAFA) – A Palestinian man was shot and wounded on Thursday during an Israeli military raid on the city of Qalqilya.
The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that its crews treated a 26-year-old man who was shot in the foot with live ammunition in the Schools Street area of Qalqilya.
Israeli forces stormed Qalqilya at dawn from the eastern entrance, accompanied by heavy military reinforcements that deployed throughout several neighborhoods.
WAFA correspondent said that the raid began at 1:30 AM, with Israeli forces deploying in various neighborhoods, including Kafr Saba, Nazzal, Quraan, Ghayatha, Wadi Street, Nablus Street, the Interior Ministry roundabout, the area surrounding the old maritime taxi office, and Abu Anan Hill.
By morning, the forces had withdrawn from most of these neighborhoods, while maintaining a heavy presence in the Kafr Saba neighborhood in particular, where they began closing its entrances with earth mounds and preventing movement in and out.
In the same neighborhood, Israeli troops carried out raids on dozens of homes, including those of the families of the slain Palestinian Muhammad Barahmeh, Mazen Yassin, the prisoner Raafat Dweiri, and Musab Qatawi. Occupation soldiers also stormed a shop, harassing residents and searching their vehicles.
Israeli army also converted one of the houses in the Kafr Saba neighborhood into a field interrogation center, where they detained several young men and continued to interrogate them inside the house. Their identities remain unknown.
According to eyewitnesses, Israeli army informed residents of a curfew imposed on the Kafr Saba neighborhood today, ordering them to remain in their homes and not leave for the duration of the closure.
Accordingly, the administration of the UNRWA school complex in Qalqilya announced a delay in the start of the school day until Israeli forces withdraw from the city, in order to ensure the safety of students, teaching staff, and employees.
