Israeli forces close all main northern entrances leading to Ramallah

RAMALLAH, December 2, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli forces shut down  all main entrances to the northern area of Ramallah.

According to local sources, Israeli troops closed the Atara and Ein Sinya checkpoints north of Ramallah, as well as the Rawabi roundabout, the Nabi Saleh gate, the entrance to Umm Safa village, the Sinjil gate, and the Ayoun al-Haramiya junction connecting Nablus and Ramallah.

The soldiers also intensified their military presence and measures around the city and its surrounding villages and towns to the north, northwest, and east of Ramallah.

According to a report issued by the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission last October, the total number of permanent and temporary checkpoints (gates, military barriers, and earth mounds) that divide Palestinian lands and restrict the movement of people and goods has reached 916. Of these, 243 are iron gates that were erected after October 7, 2023.
