RAMALLAH, November 30, 2025 (WAFA) – Colonists once again attacked water facilities in the Ein Samia area, east of the village of Kafr Malik, on Sunday evening, targeting Water Well No. 6 and bringing its pumping operations to a complete halt. The water well is considered a main water source for Palestinian communities east of Ramallah.

In a statement, the Jerusalem Water Undertaking said that the repeated attacks on the Ein Samia wells threaten the water security of some 19 residential communities that depend mainly on these sources for their daily needs. It renewed its call for urgent action and pressure on the occupation authorities to halt the continued targeting of water resources in the area.

The official public water utility confirmed that its crews have been working since the evening to repair the damage and restore the well’s operation, in coordination with the relevant bodies, to resume water pumping as soon as possible and minimize the outage’s impact on residents.

Ein Samia wells have recently been subjected to a series of colonists’ attacks, including the smashing of surveillance cameras and tampering with vital equipment.

Ein Samia is considered one of the most important groundwater sources east of Ramallah. The total production capacity of its wells is estimated at 12,000 cubic meters per day, representing 17% of the daily quantities supplied by the Jerusalem District Water Utility.
