SALFIT, November 30, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces carried out a wide-scale detention campaign overnight and early morning on Sunday in several towns in the central West Bank province of Salfit, detaining dozens of residents amid an intensified military presence in the area.
Local sources reported that forces detained several Palestinian citizens from the town of Qarawat Bani Hassan, with the offensive still ongoing at the time of reporting.
In the town of Al-Zawiya, Israeli troops detained at least 14 Palestinians, including a father and his three sons, after raiding their homes. Most of those detained were later released.
In the village of Mas'ha, soldiers also detained a number of local Palestinian residents. Later in the day, forces closed the main entrance to Al-Zawiya with earth mounds as part of increased military measures in the area.
These detentions come amid recurring military raids across towns and villages in the West Bank, where Palestinians frequently report nighttime incursions, home searches, and detention by the occupation forces.
These raids have intensified in recent months, with Israeli forces often storming communities to carry out detentions, conduct interrogations, or set up temporary checkpoints, contributing to ongoing tensions and disruptions to daily life in the region.
