JERUSALEM, November 29, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation authorities today forced a Palestinian citizen to demolish his own home in the Dahyat al-Salam neighborhood, east of occupied Jerusalem.

The Jerusalem Governorate said that the Israeli municipality compelled Mohammad Karshan to carry out the demolition himself under the pretext of lacking a building permit.

Israeli authorities routinely force Palestinians, particularly in occupied Jerusalem, to self-demolish their homes under the guise of unlicensed construction. 

Those who refuse face demolition by Israeli bulldozers and are then billed exorbitant fees for the costs of the demolition.
