Presidency: Israel's war on Palestinians will not bring security or stability

RAMALLAH, November 28, 2025 (WAFA) – Nabil Abu Rudeineh, spokesperson for President Mahmoud Abbas, said today that Israel’s ongoing war against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including Jerusalem, will not achieve security or stability for anyone, and will not grant legitimacy to any measures taken by Israeli authorities.

He stated that the continued Israeli military offensive in Tubas for the third consecutive day, along with the aggression on Jenin and its refugee camp and on Tulkarm and its two refugee camps, will keep the region trapped in a cycle of violence and escalation.

He stressed that the Israeli government is defying the international community through its insistence on violating international law and international legitimacy resolutions.

Abu Rudeineh emphasized that the Israeli government, through these actions and others, is seeking to undermine efforts to implement a ceasefire in Gaza and stop attacks in the West Bank, while eliminating any opportunity to achieve security and stability in the region or to launch a political process based on international legitimacy to end the occupation.

He called on the United States administration to intervene immediately and firmly to force Israel to stop its open war against the Palestinian people and to halt colonist violence, warning that such actions threaten to ignite the region and undermine efforts to reduce tension.

He reaffirmed that Gaza is an integral part of the one Palestinian homeland and the single Palestinian state, and that its unity with the West Bank and East Jerusalem is a fixed and non-negotiable right.
