DAMASCUS, November 28, 2025 (Wafa) – Several Syrian citizens were killed and injured early Friday in the village of Beit Jin, in the southwestern countryside of Damascus, following an Israeli attack that included a military incursion and the detention of three people.
The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that Israeli reconnaissance drones continue to fly over the area, with initial information indicating that five people were killed, including two children, whose bodies were transferred to Al-Jolan National Hospital in the city of Al-Salam in Quneitra province.
According to the report, Israeli forces shelled Beit Jin with artillery at 3:40 a.m., while a military unit advanced into the village and detained three individuals before withdrawing.
Local residents reportedly confronted the incursion, leading to heavy gunfire and armed clashes between the advancing force and residents. The town is also witnessing displacement of residents toward neighboring areas.
