Detentions in Tubas climb to 162 since start of Israeli forces’ aggression

TUBAS, November 27, 2025 (WAFA) – The number of Palestinians detained since the start of the Israeli occupation forces’ aggression on Tubas has risen to 162, according to a local official.

Director of the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) in Tubas, Kamal Bani Odeh, said Israeli forces have detained 162 Palestinian citizens since yesterday, after raiding their homes and taking them to field interrogation centers.

He added that Israeli forces released a large number of detainees, while others remain in detention. He noted that field interrogations are being conducted inside homes seized by the occupation forces after forcing their residents to leave in Tubas governorate, including the towns of Tammun, Aqaba, and Tayasir.

Bani Odeh noted that many of those released after detention were left with their hands bound. He added that during home raids, Israeli occupation forces harassed and severely beat citizens, and carried out field interrogations with large numbers of them inside their homes.

Israeli occupation forces continue their aggression on Tubas governorate for the second consecutive day, amid a continued curfew, closure of the governorate’s entrances, and the blocking of several main and secondary roads with earth mounds.
