RAMALLAH, November 27, 2025 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa briefed an Italian parliamentary delegation, headed by Laura Boldrini, at his office in Ramallah on Thursday.

The meeting, which was also attended by Secretary of the Fatah Central Committee and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Lieutenant General Jibril Rajoub, focused on the latest political and field developments in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including Jerusalem.

He highlighted the efforts underway to solidify the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing the State of Palestine's jurisdiction over the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including Jerusalem, under a single authority, government, law, and armed force. He stressed that there can be no Palestinian state without the Gaza Strip.

Mustafa also said, "We have a reconstruction and recovery plan for the Gaza Strip, complete with an implementation program. This plan has been adopted by Arab and Islamic countries and is supported by the international community through the New York Declaration. We are working with our sister nation, Egypt, to organize a reconstruction and recovery conference in Cairo."

The Prime Minister also reviewed the developments on the ground in the West Bank, highlighting the ongoing aggression by the Israeli occupation army and colonists, particularly in the northern West Bank governorates, most recently the continued attacks on Tubas Governorate.

He also addressed the Israeli measures, including the withholding of Palestinian tax revenues for the sixth consecutive month, which is impacting the government's ability to fulfill its obligations to the Palestinian people and provide them with services.

Mustafa added, "We want a political solution to achieve a sustainable peace based on the two-state solution and the establishment of a Palestinian state, and to prevent any recurrence of aggression against our people."

The Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for the Italian people's solidarity with the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights to freedom, independence, and self-determination.

For their part, the Italian delegation affirmed their support for the Palestinian people, based on their belief in international and humanitarian law, their rejection of double standards in international relations, and their continued efforts at the international level to support the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights to an independent state, to end their suffering in the Gaza Strip, and to halt colonist attacks and occupation measures in the West Bank, including Jerusalem.
