JERICHO, November 25, 2025 (WAFA) – A group of Israeli colonists established a new outpost on Tuesday afternoon inside the Bedouin community of Shallal Al-Auja, located north of the city of Jericho.

Hasan Mlehat, general supervisor of the Al-Baidar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, told WAFA that the colonists set up initial structures on the ruins of one of the abandoned homes in the community, and built metal barracks and internal sections at the site.

With this development, the number of outposts in and around the community has risen to four, in a step the organization described as part of ongoing expansion attempts that threaten Bedouin communities in the area.
