QALQILYA, November 25, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli forces stormed the town of Azzun, east of Qalqilya, early Tuesday morning, raiding several homes and detaining more than 25 young men, amid reports of assaulting and abusing of residents.
Local sources said that Israeli forces raided the neighborhoods of Al-Mansour, Al-Safha, Al-Ghanawi, Al-Muthallath, Al-Muntar, and Omar Al-Qasim Hospital. They later established a military post in the Martyr Ali Sweidan neighborhood after converting the home of Muhammad Zamari into a military outpost.
Among the detainees were: Mustafa Bilal Anaya, Yahya Yousef Ghanawi, Omar Yousef Ghanawi, Saeed Ahmed Abu Haniyeh, Bashar Shabita, Wahbi Al-Khouli, Nidal Abdel-Karim Hussein, Adel Faleh Dahbour, Jamal Yousef Salim, Issam Rashid Radwan, and his brother Marwan.
Sources added that Israeli troops are tightening their military measures around the town, erecting a military checkpoint, preventing the movement of residents, and closing the Jiyous Bridge road connecting Azzun and Tulkarm with an iron gate.
Since October 2023, Israeli authorities have continued to close the main entrance to Azzun with an iron gate, forcing residents to use secondary roads where the soldiers frequently erect military checkpoints, thus hindering their daily movement.
