Israeli colonists forcibly displace three Bedouin families east of Jerusalem

JERUSALEM, November 24, 2025 (WAFA) – The Jerusalem Governorate reported on Monday that three Bedouin families from the Al-Ara’ara clan were forcibly displaced from their homes in the Al-Hathroura Bedouin community near Khan al-Ahmar, east of Jerusalem.

In a statement, the Governorate said the three families were displaced due to escalating colonist attacks, which have intensified dangerously following the establishment of a new settlement outpost in the vicinity of the community. The statement affirmed that these attacks forced the families to flee in order to protect their lives and property.

The Governorate emphasized that the colonist attacks include storming the area, directly assaulting residents, stealing property, harassing shepherds, and preventing them from grazing their sheep. All of this occurs under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, who provide full cover for these violations.

Meanwhile, two other families from the same community were previously forced to leave in recent weeks due to similar attacks.

The Governorate emphasized that these actions are part of a systematic policy aimed at restricting Bedouin communities to clear land for settlement expansion by creating a hostile environment that compels residents to leave.

Human rights and international organizations called for urgent intervention to stop these attacks and protect citizens in the threatened Bedouin communities.
