Prime Minister Mustafa discusses efforts to consolidate Gaza ceasefire with European officials

RAMALLAH, November 21, 2025 (WAFA) – On the sidelines of the Palestine donors' meeting in Brussels, Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa briefed several European foreign ministers and officials on the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territory.

During the meeting, Mustafa discussed the importance of intensifying international efforts to solidify the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and implement UN Security Council Resolution 2803, in order to begin the recovery and reconstruction process in the Strip.

He also underscored  the need for unrestricted entry of aid and relief supplies and called for firm pressure on Israel to halt the ongoing attacks and violations by its army and colonists across the West Bank, including Jerusalem. The Prime Minister demanded the release of Palestinian withheld tax revenues.

Mustafa reviewed the progress of the institutional reform and development program, which encompasses several sectors. He emphasized the commitment to implementing this program, which is a national imperative, to develop financial policies and public financial management, strengthen the governance system and the rule of law, improve the legislative and regulatory environment for investment and business, and raise the level of basic services provided to the Palestinian people.

The meetings were attended by French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot, Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Álvarez, German Foreign Minister Johan Wadephul, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas, British development minister Jenny Chapman, and EU commissioner for the Mediterranean Dubravka Schütze.
