TUBAS, November 21, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces issued military orders last night to seize privately owned and state lands in Tubas region and the Jordan Valley in the north of the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.
Muataz Bisharat, an official in charge of the settlement file in the Tubas Governorate, said the orders targeted registered private lands and state lands as well, aiming to construct a military road linking the Ein Shibli area to the Tayasir checkpoint, with the planned road exceeding 40 kilometers in length.
Israeli forces have also continued bulldozing works at the eastern entrance of Ein Shibli village, with the aim of relocating the Hamra military checkpoint on the road connecting Nablus, Tubas and Jericho and moving it closer to the village.
The Hamra checkpoint is located at a key road junction linking West Bank cities with the central, southern and northern Jordan Valley, and serves as a main passageway for thousands of Palestinians travelling daily to their workplaces in the Jordan Valley.
