Israeli forces demolish Palestinian house east of Jerusalem

JERUSALEM, November 19, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli forces demolished on Wednesday a Palestinian house in the town of Anata, east of occupied Jerusalem.

The Jerusalem Governorate emphasized that the house belonged to Raed Hajjaj Fahidat and measured approximately 100 square meters. The statement noted that this was the second time forces had demolished Fahidat's house, under the pretext of building without a permit.

The Governorate clarified that this pretext, among others, is part of a systematic policy to obstruct any Palestinian urban expansion and to remove existing structures in the vicinity of the separation wall and the expansionist settlements built on Palestinian land.

The town of Anata witnesses demolitions almost weekly, in addition to the distribution of eviction and demolition notices affecting dozens of homes and structures, under the pretext that they are located in so-called buffer zones or to implement settlement projects and infrastructure serving the settlements.

The Jerusalem Governorate affirmed that these policies constitute part of a systematic plan to uproot the indigenous population and impose further occupation control over the areas surrounding the city, within the framework of a comprehensive and escalating Judaization process.

According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, during the month of October, Israeli forces carried out 25 demolition operations that affected 28 facilities, including 17 homes and 11 agricultural facilities, and also notified 30 other facilities of the demolition of them.
