Israeli forces detain three fishermen near Gaza’s devastated port

GAZA, November 19, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli forces detained three Palestinian fishermen on Wednesday near the ruins of Gaza’s devastated port.

According to WAFA correspondent, troops stationed around the port arrested the fishermen while they were in the area and took them to an unknown location.

Gaza port was obliterated on the sixth day of Israeli's  war on the Strip, after repeated drone strikes, causing extensive damage to the port, fishermen's property, and their boats.

The occupation forces prevent fishermen from accessing the sea to practice their livelihood, and have killed and arrested dozens of them, destroying all their boats. The ceasefire agreement that began on October 11, 2015, has not changed this situation.

Since the beginning of the Israeli's aggression against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, 69,483 Palestinians have been killed, the majority of them children and women, and 170,706 others have been wounded.

Thousands of victims remain trapped under the rubble, inaccessible to rescue and ambulance crews.
