JORDAN VALLEY, November 16, 2025 (WAFA) – Colonists this evening began fencing off tracts of land near the Tayasir military checkpoint in the northern Jordan Valley, according to a local activist.
Mahdi Daraghmeh, head of the Al-Maleh and Bedouin communities’ village council, said the colonists began fencing off plots of land east of the Tayasir checkpoint. He noted that some of the land is privately owned by Palestinian citizens, while other parts belong to the Latin Patriarchate.
These fencing activities will block citizens’ access to thousands of dunums of land.
Colonists have recently carried out large-scale fencing operations in several areas of the northern Jordan Valley and have taken over the lands.
