Israeli army continues to close Jenin-area town

JENIN, November 16, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces continue to close the entrances to the town of Ya'bad, south of Jenin, for the tenth consecutive day.

Local sources told WAFA that the occupation forces closed the entrances to Ya'bad last week with earth mounds, except for the main entrance, preventing residents from entering or leaving. They also forced a number of families to leave their homes, turning them into military outposts, where they remain stationed.

The sources added that occupation soldiers forced residents of homes adjacent to those converted into military outposts to leave, while raids and searches of several homes continue.

The Jenin South Education Directorate announced this morning that government schools in Ya'bad will switch to online learning due to the presence of occupation soldiers and to ensure the safety of students.
