JERUSALEM, November 16, 2025 (WAFA) – The all-Israeli municipality of occupied Jerusalem imposed fines today on Palestinian vehicles in the neighborhood of Silwan, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem, according to local sources.

The sources reported that Israeli municipality teams set up a checkpoint in the Al-Bustan district in Silwan and began issuing fines to Palestinian vehicles for no apparent reason.

These fines are part of an ongoing tactic used by the Israeli authorities to punish Palestinian residents of Jerusalem. The fines are typically imposed under flimsy pretexts and serve as a form of collective punishment, further compounding the hardships faced by Palestinians living in the city under occupation.
