HEBRON, November 12, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Wednesday sealed off the doors of several houses in the city of Hebron, preventing the owners from entering or leaving their homes.
WAFA correspondent reported that the occupation forces closed the main doors of a number of citizens' homes belonging to the Idris family in the Jaber neighborhood, near the Ibrahimi Mosque (Tomb of the Patriarchs) in the Old City of Hebron, using oxygen welding, and prevented their owners from entering or leaving.
The residents of the Jaber, Salaymeh, and Wad Al-Hussein neighborhoods have been living in complete isolation from the rest of the southern part of Hebron for more than a year, after the occupation forces closed all entrances and exits connecting these neighborhoods to the rest of the city with barbed wire.
More than 750 Palestinian families in the Old City of Hebron live in harsh and difficult living conditions due to the escalating series of repressive and racist measures imposed on them by the Israeli occupation forces.
Since the 7th of October 2023, approximately 11 neighborhoods in the Old City have been subject to a curfew during the evening hours, and citizens are prevented from leaving their homes.
Severe restrictions have also been imposed on their movement during the day, with specific times allotted for it, in addition to the daily acts of abuse they are subjected to at the hands of the occupation soldiers and armed colonizer groups.
