RAMALLAH, November 9, 2025 (WAFA) – Minister of Health Majed Abu Ramadan announced on Sunday the resumption of the child vaccination campaign in the Gaza Strip, aimed at reinforcing the national program for children under the age of three and ensuring they receive essential doses according to the national schedule.
Abu Ramadan stressed that despite the difficult humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip, the Ministry remains committed to protecting Palestinian children and safeguarding their health and well-being. He urged the public to fully cooperate with health teams to ensure the success of the campaign.
The campaign is being implemented under the supervision of the Ministry of Health in partnership with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) and the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, with support from UNICEF and the World Health Organization. Vaccinations are being provided through 150 health centers affiliated with the Ministry of Health, UNRWA, and the Red Crescent, in addition to local and international organizations operating across the Gaza governorates.
The campaign will run for ten days in three phases, spaced one month apart, to ensure that all children who have missed basic vaccinations in the past are reached.
The Health Ministry called on parents in Gaza to bring their children to approved vaccination centers to complete their doses, emphasizing that vaccination is the first and most important line of defense against serious diseases and epidemics.
This campaign follows previous child vaccination efforts carried out by the Ministry in cooperation with partners, including polio vaccination campaigns and initiatives targeting Palestinian children in Egypt, coordinated with the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population, alongside the Palestinian Embassy in Cairo.
