NABLUS, November 8, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces seized today two garbage collection trucks belonging to the municipality of Aqraba, southeast of Nablus, and detained members of the municipal crew, including the mayor and his deputy.

According to Mayor Salah Jaber, who spoke to WAFA after being released, Israeli soldiers—accompanied by armed colonists—raided the municipal waste disposal site east of the town. Forces detained the mayor, his deputy, and workers from the sanitation department and seized two garbage trucks used for daily waste collection.

Residents of Aqraba have reported increased colonist activity in the surrounding agricultural areas in recent weeks, including intimidation of farmers and attempts to restrict Palestinian access to land and infrastructure.
