Israeli airstrikes kill Lebanese citizen, injure eight in southern Lebanon

BEIRUT, November 6, 2025 (WAFA) – A Lebanese citizen was killed and eight others were wounded on Thursday after Israeli forces carried out airstrikes on several towns in southern Lebanon, according to the National News Agency.

The strikes targeted the town of Tura in the Tyre district, where homes and civilian structures were hit. Medical teams reported that one person was killed and eight others sustained injuries of varying severity.

Israeli warplanes also bombed the towns of Tayr Debba, Taybeh, Ayta al-Shaab, and Zawtar El Charqiyeh, causing significant destruction to buildings. Throughout the attacks, reconnaissance drones flew heavily over the area and dropped threatening leaflets over the targeted towns.

In a separate incident, an Israeli drone strike targeted a building in the town of Kafr Dunin, firing at least one missile that failed to explode. Moments later, Israeli fighter jets launched another strike on the same location.

Residents reported widespread panic as the bombardment intensified, adding to fears of further escalation along the southern Lebanon frontier.
