JERUSALEM, November 6, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces demolished two inhabited homes in the town of Qatanna, northwest of occupied Jerusalem, on Thursday.
Local sources reported that occupation forces, reinforced with military vehicles, stormed the village, surrounded it, and then proceeded to demolish two homes belonging to brothers Iyad and Ziad Houshieh. Each home, measuring approximately 150 square meters, housed at least 20 people.
The occupation authorities had notified the siblings – Iyad, Imad, Ziad, Ramadan, Karim, Mu'taz, and Muhammad Houshieh – of the impending demolition of their homes 10 years ago.
The homes were inhabited by approximately 50 people.
This demolition comes amidst an escalating policy of targeting Palestinian homes in the town and surrounding areas.
During the month of October, the Israeli occupation authorities carried out 25 demolition operations that affected 28 facilities, including 15 inhabited homes, 2 uninhabited homes, and 11 agricultural facilities.
They also distributed 30 notices to demolish Palestinian facilities in various areas of the West Bank, including Jerusalem.
