ROME, November 5, 2025 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas arrived on Wednesday in the Italian capital, Rome, on an official three-day visit to the Italian Republic.
President Abbas is scheduled to meet with Italian President Sergio Mattarella, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, and Pope Leo XIII.
The president was accompanied by Member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization and Head of the Higher Presidential Committee for Church Affairs Ramzi Khoury; Ziad Abu Amr, a member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO); Presidential Advisor for Diplomatic Affairs Majdi Al-Khalidi; Palestine’s Ambassador to Italy Muna Abu Amara; and Palestine’s Ambassador to the Holy See Issa Kassissieh.
