Occupation forces intensify aggression on Tulkarem, bulldoze entrance of besieged camp

TULKAREM, November 5, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces continued their escalating aggression against Tulkarem city and its two refugee camps on Wednesday, conducting extensive bulldozing operations at the entrance of Tulkarem camp, which has been under siege for 283 days.

WAFA correspondent reported that heavy Israeli bulldozers were seen leveling Al-Wakala Street at the northern entrance of Tulkarem camp, causing additional damage to infrastructure already destroyed in earlier phases of the aggression.

Israeli forces continue to prevent residents from reaching their homes, tightening military measures and closing all entrances with iron gates and concrete blocks, particularly on the western side.

They also set up earthen barriers in the area linking the camp to the Thinnaba neighborhood and in the eastern part of the city adjacent to the camp, while seizing several homes and turning them into military outposts.

This escalation comes as the aggression and siege on the nearby Nur Shams camp enter their 270th consecutive day. Today, residents held a protest at one of the camp’s entrances in the Jabal al-Nasr area, demanding the right to return to their homes and rejecting forced displacement. The occupation forces, however, blocked their advance and forced them to disperse at gunpoint.

Simultaneously, Tulkarem city and its surrounding areas, particularly Iktaba and Shuweika, are witnessing round-the-clock military reinforcements, with occupation vehicles patrolling the streets and obstructing movement by setting up temporary checkpoints at several intersections.

The ongoing aggression has forcibly displaced more than 5,000 families from Tulkarem and Nur Shams camps—over 25,000 residents—while completely destroying more than 600 homes and partially damaging 2,573 others, leaving the camps largely uninhabitable.

So far, the aggression has killed 14 Palestinians, including a child and two women, one of whom was eight months pregnant, in addition to leaving dozens wounded and detained, with widespread destruction affecting homes, infrastructure, shops, and vehicles.
