HEBRON, November 5, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces detained dozens of Palestinians on Wednesday in the town of Beit Ummar, Hebron Governorate, in the southern West Bank.

The forces interrogated the detainees in the field after assaulting them.

Media activist Mohammed Awad told WAFA that the occupation forces launched a widespread detentions campaign targeting dozens of Palestinians, most of whom were former prisoners.

Soldiers raided dozens of homes, ransacking them, damaging doors, belongings, and furniture. The detainees were gathered in the playground of Beit Ummar Secondary School, where they were beaten and subjected to verbal abuse. The soldiers also distributed warning leaflets to the residents.

Additionally, Israeli forces stormed the town of Dura and raided the home of Fatah Secretary Nader Azmi Abu Hleil. An explosives engineering unit marked the interior of his house and ransacked its contents.

Meanwhile, the occupation forces set up several military checkpoints at the entrances to Hebron, its towns, villages and camps, and closed a number of main and secondary roads with iron gates, concrete blocks and earth barriers.
