Israeli forces establish new settlement outpost in Anata, north of occupied Jerusalem

JERUSALEM, November 2, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Sunday established a new settlement outpost on Palestinian-owned land in the town of Anata, north of occupied Jerusalem.

Local sources reported that Israeli forces, accompanied by a bulldozer, began levelling large areas of land near the town, and set up caravans, tents, and mobile rooms, while soldiers raised the flag of the so-called Temple at the site.

Three days ago, Israeli occupation authorities seized five dunums and 856 square meters of land belonging to residents of Anata through a military order. The order aims to construct a settlement road linking the settlement of Neve Brat to Road No. 437. The order, signed on March 18, 2025, remains in effect until December 31, 2027, and grants residents only one week to file objections.

According to data from the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, since the beginning of 2025, the Israeli occupation has issued a total of 54 military orders for the purpose of seizing Palestinian land.
