Colonists set fire to two Palestinian vehicles near Ramallah

RAMALLAH, October 30, 2025 (WAFA) – Colonists set fire to two Palestinian-owned vehicles early Thursday morning after infiltrating the village of Burqa, east of Ramallah.

Security sources told WAFA that a group of colonists infiltrated the southern part of the village from one of the settlements built on Palestinian land. They set fire to two vehicles belonging to local resident Yousef Ahmad Awad, completely destroying them, and a vehicle belonging to Saad Samreen, which was partially damaged.

Earlier, Israeli occupation forces raided the village and detained 18-year-old Mohammad Yousef Ma’tan after storming his family’s home.

The village of Burqa is subjected to continuous and almost daily attacks by colonists under the protection of the Israeli army.

The occupation authorities have also prevented residents from accessing vast areas of their land, restricting them to only 1,000 dunams out of more than 16,000 dunams belonging to the village.

The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission monitored 41 attacks carried out by the occupation army and 218 attacks by colonists last month, indicating that these attacks ranged from violent physical assault, arrest campaigns, restricting movement and preventing access, intimidation and terror in all its forms, and direct shooting. The attacks took place in the governorates of Ramallah and Al-Bireh, Nablus, and Hebron.
