JORDAN VALLEY, October 28, 2025 (WAFA) – Colonists began fencing off large areas of land in the Umm al-Jimal and al-Farisiya areas in the northern Jordan Valley on Tuesday, in preparation for seizing them.
Local sources reported that colonists have been working since morning to fence off large areas of land in the Umm al-Jimal and Khirbet al-Farisiya areas.
The sources explained that the lands being fenced vary between agricultural and pastoral lands.
The Umm al-Jimal community was forcibly displaced by colonists a year ago, while residents of Khirbet al-Farisiya face daily attacks by settlers seeking their forced displacement.
According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, the area of land fenced off by colonists is estimated at more than 1,200 dunams, part of which is owned by citizens, and the other part is owned by the Latin Patriarchate.
