JERUSALEM, October 27, 2025 (WAFA) – The Israeli occupation authorities forced a Palestinian citizen from Jerusalem to demolish his home in the town of Al-Issawiya, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, on Monday morning.
Local sources reported that the occupation forces forced Taher Darbas to demolish his home in the town of Al-Issawiya.
It is worth noting that the occupation authorities force Palestinian citizens, especially in occupied Jerusalem, to demolish their homes themselves, under the pretext of lacking a permit.
Those who refuse to do so are subjected to demolition by bulldozers, imposing exorbitant costs on the owner.
The occupation municipality in Jerusalem refuses to grant Palestinians building permits and demolishes or forces them to demolish their homes.
This practice violates international and humanitarian laws that guarantee the right to housing. This practice is part of the occupation's systematic practices to forcibly displace Palestinians from Jerusalem in exchange for expanding settlements in and around the city.
