Israeli colonists fence off Palestinian lands in northern Jordan Valley in preparation for seizure

JORDAN VALLEY, October 26, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists today fenced off agricultural lands in Khirbet al-Farisiya, a hamlet in the northern Jordan Valley, in preparation for taking them over.

Mehdi Daraghmeh, head of the Al-Maleh village council, said that colonists fenced additional areas of privately-owned agricultural land registered with official proof of ownership in Khirbet al-Farisiya.

Residents of the northern Jordan Valley are currently preparing for the new agricultural season, hoping to grow rain-fed crops that help provide fodder for their livestock.

For months, colonists have fenced off hundreds of dunums of pastoral land as part of a systematic policy aimed at pressuring residents to leave their homes and lands.

In recent months, the northern Jordan Valley has witnessed a sharp escalation in attacks by Israeli colonists against Palestinians and their properties. These assaults include storming homes, spreading fear among residents, physical attacks, and the destruction of property, in addition to chasing shepherds from grazing areas, preventing their access, and attacking or stealing their livestock.
