GAZA, October 25, 2025 (WAFA) – A nine-year-old Palestinian girl was killed and several others were injured on Saturday evening following the collapse of a building in Gaza City, according to local sources.
WAFA correspondent said that the girl was killed and three other citizens were injured when a building belonging to the Al-Balawi family collapsed on its residents in the Al-Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City.
Destroyed and partially collapsed buildings—damaged by repeated Israeli bombardments—pose a serious threat to the lives of residents searching for shelter amid the vast devastation that has struck Gaza’s infrastructure and housing sector.
Earlier, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) reported that more than 61 million tons of rubble now cover large areas of the Gaza Strip, with entire neighborhoods wiped out during two years of war. Many families continue to search through the debris for water, shelter, and basic necessities.
