RAMALLAH, October 25, 2025 (WAFA) – Groups of Israeli colonists attacked this evening the Al-Ara’ara Bedouin community, located east of the town of Jaba’ north of occupied Jerusalem, according to local sources
Hassan Mleihat, the general supervisor of the Al-Baydar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, said in a press statement that a group of colonists assaulted residents of the Al-Ara’ara community and poured flammable materials on olive trees surrounding the area, setting nearby olive groves on fire.
Mleihat added that the colonists’ attack on the Al-Ara’ara residents is part of intensified assaults aimed at forcing them to leave their lands, in line with the Israeli government’s plan to implement the so-called E1 settlement project.
Meantime, Israeli colonists attacked the nearby Khallet al-Sidra Bedouin community, also located northeast of occupied Jerusalem.
Mleihat said that a group of colonist gangs assaulted the Khallet al-Sidra community and set fire to residents’ homes. No injuries were reported.
He warned that the Bedouin communities located east and northeast of Jerusalem face imminent danger due to the occupation’s ongoing policies seeking their removal, which threatens to cause a humanitarian disaster.
Bedouin communities in the area, including Khan al-Ahmar, Al-Ara’ara, and others, have faced continuous threats of demolition and displacement under the E1 plan. Human rights organizations have repeatedly warned that implementing the project would amount to forcible transfer, a violation of international law, and would have devastating humanitarian and political consequences.
