JERICHO, October 24, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces detained a groom and his father on Friday from the Ein Sultan refugee camp, north of Jericho, while they were on their way to the town of Rantis, west of Ramallah, to pick up the bride, local sources reported.

According to sources, Israeli troops stopped the vehicle carrying the groom, Awni Safi, and his father, Mazen Safi, at the town’s entrance, detained them, and confiscated the car keys.

The detention occurred in the midst of wedding preparations, as the family was traveling to complete the marriage ceremony.
