Israeli forces attack farmers during olive harvest season near Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, October 23, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces attacked a number of farmers today in the village of Nahalin, west of Bethlehem, during the olive harvest season.

Local sources told WAFA correspondent that the occupation forces assaulted several farmers in the Ain al-Balad area, on the outskirts of the village, while they were picking olives. The soldiers attacked the farmers, seized their harvesting tools, baskets, and quantities of collected olives.

The Israeli forces also detained several young men who were helping their families with the harvest before transferring them to an unknown location.

The annual olive harvest season witnesses an escalation in attacks by Israeli occupation forces and colonists on farmers across the West Bank. These attacks include preventing access to farmlands, damaging trees and crops, and assaulting farmers as part of a systematic policy aimed at pressuring landowners and depriving them of their livelihood.
